New Orleans Film Festival and Film Society

The NOFS is seeking office interns to work part time in our office assisting theNOFS staff with a variety of duties and tasks. Intern positions are unpaid.

Internship Duties

  • data entry 

  • building spreadsheets 

  • researching possible sponsorship opportunities

  • placing membership forms around town

  • helping to update the website

  • working on monthly newsletter

  • year-round publicity of NOFS events and screenings

  • other office- and event-related tasks.

Experience/Skills Needed 

  • Professional background or study in Film, Media, or Communications.

Hours: Weekly commitment of at least 6-8 hours each week. Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival

The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival offers interns a chance to become acquainted with the rich history and contemporary literary and theater scene of one of America’s great cultural cities.
While introducing students to the daily operations of a nonprofit arts organization, these internships also provide the opportunity to strengthen writing and oral communication skills, learn about publicity, marketing, development, and promotion, and engage with the arts culture of New Orleans.

Internship Duties Can Include any of the following

  • Writing

  • Editing

  • Graphic Design

  • Marketing

  • Publicity

  • Patron Management

  • Photography/Videography

  • Development

  • Event Planning

  • Festival Organization

  • Logistics

  • Festival Industry

  • Theater Management

  • LGBT Literature
