We are looking for an intern for the period of the first block of shooting, which is from October 26 - November 21. The locations are mostly in the New Orleans area as well as in Chalmette and Hammond. "The First" is a TV series about the first launch of people on Mars. The director is legendary Agnieszka Holland, Polish filmmaker whose recent film "Spoor" was shown at the New Orleans Film Festival last night.
The candidate for an intern should have a reliable vehicle and driver's license, possess knowledge of photography, editing skills, and have an interest to work in the camera or editing department. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and willing to learn.
We are in need of interns to work to in an ancillary role to camera assistant, set PA, editorial intern.
An ideal candidate for the camera trainee would have a desire to work in camera dept.
An ideal candidate for set PA, would have a desire to work as a producer, or AD. The would be working closely with the associate producer to support the producer and director.
An ideal candidate for the editorial position would have a thorough understanding of editing MLE's and desire to become an editor.
The rate is $7.25/hr for maximum 8 hours a day
