Student Internship: Workday Analyst
Overview The UNO Office of Research is seeking a motivated student intern to assist with computing and technical duties beginning as soon as May 2019. The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate major in computer science, accounting, business administration, or a related field. The position offers approximately 20 hours a week at $10 an hour, and we hope to hire a student interested in working through at least the summer and the fall.
Responsibilities • Conducts business process testing to optimize the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday • Compares complex spreadsheets and validates data • Drafts training documents with instructions, flow charts, and screenshots • Uses PeopleSoft and SharePoint systems to record and look up information • Provides overall administrative support to the staff of the Office of Research • Other duties as assigned
Requirements • An undergraduate student at the University of New Orleans • Available to work at least 15 hours a week • Creative thinker—someone who can be innovative • Analytical thinker—someone who can build systems and processes • Detail-oriented and organized • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer programs • Excellent communication skills • Able to handle confidential matters • Must be permanently eligible to work in the United States
Preferred: • Student of computer science, accounting, business administration, or related fields • Interested in a position spanning several semesters
Bonus: • Familiar with PeopleSoft or Workday • Proficient in Microsoft Access or Visio
