JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The communication specialist will work collaboratively with Entergy’s corporate communications team to produce visual and multimedia content that supports the company’s vision, mission, brand and strategic endeavors. The specialist will play an integral role in the production of live webcast programs from the Multimedia studio and support the video and graphic design teams in a fast paced, highly productive environment
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the studio director and crew to ensure the successful execution of live webcasts hosted by Entergy executives from across the business. Gain working knowledge of production platforms and equipment including cameras, audio, graphics platforms, lighting and set design. Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand communications objectives, schedule walk-throughs and prepare audio and visual content to support the program.
Coordinate photography, videography and AV needs for conferences, community events and speaking engagements. Review photos and video footage. Select, edit, tag, share and upload images to a digital asset management library.
The digital media team is responsible for documenting storm damage and power restoration efforts throughout our 4-state service area. Storm and incident response responsibilities may be required outside of regular business hours to assist with capturing and reviewing photos and videos, assuring safety compliance, uploading approved photos and developing social media content.
Support the video team as needed to produce final edited videos from storyboarding and scheduling to field shooting, interviewing, art directing and post-production editing.
Maintain database of multimedia project requests and assist with traffic management. Work with internal clients to schedule and plan studio events and ensure projects stay on track.
Support the graphic design team as needed with the design, execution and delivery of company branded visual communications (i.e.: social media assets, digital signage, business plans, fliers, newsletters, executive presentations, animated videos, promotional items, event materials, wall graphic installations, etc.)
Review, evaluate, archive and organize digital assets. Maintain digital asset management system to ensure content is properly tagged, approved, relevant and searchable.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s degree or comparable training in communications or digital media.
Minimum experience required of the position
Communications Specialist I - 0 - 2 years
Communications Specialist II - 3 - 5 years
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop, Premier Pro and After Effects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of visual composition and studio production.
Videography and photography skills a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office environment with minimal physical requirements. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
