I wanted to reach out to see if anyone in your community wanted to sign up with us for background (movie extra) work during their (or their kids’) Spring Break. We’re currently working on BAD CUPCAKE, which is filming in the general New Orleans area, and we’re hoping to start work on a couple of more productions later this Spring. We’re always looking for fresh faces. Anyone of any age is welcome to sign up with us. Babies must be at least 15 days old, and everyone, including minors, MUST have valid photo ID. The background roles we cast are PAID (rates vary per show), and no experience is necessary. There are NO fees to sign up with us. It’s a fun job for anyone who wants to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how movies are made, great for anyone seeking gig work, or something fun to do over school breaks (especially the summer). If you are a parent signing up a minor: We encourage you to sign up as well, because there are times when the productions may ask the on-set guardian if they want to work in a scene with their minor. If in our system, their employment paperwork, tax forms, and I-9 will already be on file, making it quicker and easier to get paid for their work. To Sign Up, interested individuals must fill out employment paperwork at our office in downtown New Orleans. This makes it legal for the talent to work on set, and all paperwork will be on file. This means less paperwork to fill out on set! If it would be more convenient to sign up community members at your organization’s location, please let me know. We do not mind visiting 😊 Anyone can make an Onboarding appointment at one of the links below. These sessions would be at our office in downtown New Orleans. ADULTS: https://www.centralcasting.com/nola/sign-up/ MINOR Requests: https://www.centralcasting.com/nola/kids/sign-up/ If anyone has questions or would like more information, they can reach out to me at 504-684-2550. Make sure to ask for me: Margaret. What to Expect and Bring to an Onboarding Session: 1. Since this is for gig-based employment for productions, anyone wishing to onboard with us must present acceptable, original, and unexpired documents for the I-9 form at the time they onboard. Examples can be found here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents NOTE: List A documents are used on their own. List B and C documents must be paired and presented together, as they are used to verify two different things (identification and work authorization in the US). 2. When you arrive, the security guard will check you in and ask for your identification documents. 3. Once checked in, you will fill out company policies, tax forms, and the I-9 form (all mandatory for you to legally work on set). This paperwork will be kept on file so you do not have to fill out start paperwork when Central Casting sends you to set. This makes the check in process easier for you and the production. 4. After paperwork is checked and your I-9 documents verified, we will you’re your headshot and full-length photo for our database. 5. When we activate your profile in our database, casting directors will be able to reach out for background opportunities, like photo double, stand-in, or movie extra roles. Thank you so much for any help spreading the word! Again, I’m here if anyone has questions. Have a wonderful day, Margaret
