Multimedia Creative Strategist- Full-Time - Needed

Online Optimism is seeking a multimedia creative strategist, focused on commercial-style video. We are seeking detail-oriented, hard-working Optimists who above all understand the responsibility of handling storytelling for businesses large, medium, and small. You should have at least 2 years of experience working with video and photography.

We are seeking individuals that live in New Orleans, LA.

We require candidates to have:

  • At least 2+ years of experience working in film, or creative (at an agency or in-house).

  • A proven portfolio of video and photographic work.

  • Creative outlook on life, with an attention to detail.

  • Experience working within the Adobe Suite of tools (or similar software).

We are specifically looking for candidates that also have:

  • Previous work with digital marketing agencies.

  • Previous experience talking directly to clients.

  • Significant experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

  • Knowledge of cameras, lighting, sound equipment, and composition.

While not necessary, any of these items would be considered a bonus as well:

  • Previous work creating template files to allow for optimization of video production over time for the same client.

  • Experience with animation

  • Experience with Adobe Character Animator

  • Experience with Adobe Audition

  • Additional Photoshop / Illustrator Experience

Job Description As a Multimedia Creative Strategist, we expect you to produce exceptional creative work for our clients, and our agency. There will be a strong focus on commercial-style video in this role, with some photography/graphic design parts of the job as well. You will create content for websites, social media, SEO campaigns, digital ads, and more. Our clients range in industry from automotive to banking, logistics to healthcare. We expect the job to be around:

  • 35% Solo video-production.

  • 35% Coordination with outside video production teams

  • 20% Photography

  • 10% Account Executive Work

A breakdown of your expected job duties is below: Solo Video Production:

  • Pre-Production Including:

    • Talent acquisition/management.

    • Prop management.

    • Storyboarding.

    • Script-writing (with assistance from our content team.)


  • Production Including:

    • Camera operating

    • Lighting

    • Sound recording


  • Post-Production, including:

    • Editing via Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

    • Sound editing & basic audio mixing.

    • Color-correction.

    • Stitching in stock video footage.

    • Different edits for different marketing needs.


  • Making recommendations around equipment necessary to complete your projects.

Coordination with outside video production teams:

Logistics of larger film work.

  • Coordination of outside vendors.

  • Acting on-site as Online Optimism’s supervisor.

Photography:

  • Photoshoots in our in-office studio

  • Photography at client locations.

  • Creating shot lists.

  • Talent acquisition/management.

  • Prop management.

  • Photo editing.

Account Executive Work:

  • Work directly with clients, acting in an account executive role for 1 – 3 of Online Optimism’s clients that are focusing on video campaigns.

  • Collaborate with our other departments to ensure that your campaigns have a consistent, cohesive strategy and message across all their channels.
